I am Phd. student of biology in the Department of Zoology of Biological faculty in České Budějovice. My interest is focused of freshwater fishes and in the frame of my recent studies, in their population genetics, phylogeography and phylogeny. Currently I work on several ongoing projects in the Laboratory of Fish Genetics in Institute of Animal Physiology and Genetics ASCR in Libechov. The fishes of my interest include European sculpins (genus Cottus), Eurasian gungeons (genera Gobio, Romanogobio), Eurasian bitterlings of the genus Rhodeus and fishes of the superfamily Cobitoidea (currently botiid loaches)
